Sanskriti Indian School
(2019 – 2020)
March 25th, 2020
During these unprecedented times it's been scary to watch the news and overwhelming to consider the unknown! While it has been nice to spend some extra time with family, we certainly miss meeting all our volunteer teachers, students, teens and parents every Sunday. For now, social distancing is the order of the day, and as such, after much deliberation, the Sanskriti School Board has decided to close the school for the rest of the 2019-2020 academic session.
Given the current health crisis we are facing, we would like to support an effort that helps those sacrificing every day on the front lines (doctors, nurses, hospital staff, first responders) as well as local small businesses that have suffered a severe economic impact. We will be donating the remaining tuition to an effort led by Sejal Lakhani-Bhatt (a former teacher at Sanskriti School) in her initiative to deliver food through our local restaurants to 350 front-line workers at St Barnabas Hospital twice a day, one for each shift. We believe the need is dire and this is a small gesture of kindness and gratefulness we can extend to the people at the front-line working tirelessly so we can stay in the comfort of our homes waiting for this crisis to tide over.
If you would like to further contribute in any way to the emergency response against COVID-19, we suggest you check out the following:
