SANSKRITI INDIA IMMERSION CAMP 2018

Sanskriti of NJ and Sanskrit School are pleased to announce their 9th India Immersion Summer Camp.

Camp Dates:                      

Week 1:- Aug 13-17, 2018

Week 2:- Aug 20-24, 2018

Registration Options:   One or both weeks, full or half day

Registration:   First 20 full day campers will get Early Bird discount (rates are given below).

Registrations after Jul 31^st, 2018 will incur a $20 admin fee.

Camp Hours:                    Full Day Session: 9am-4pm. Half Day: 9am-12noon OR 1-4pm

Camper Eligibility:           Children entering grades K-7 in Fall 2018

Extended hours:               Early drop off (starting at 8:00 am) and late pick up (until 5 pm) is available for an additional $50 per week per child.

General Information:    

Activities: yoga, dance, music, arts/crafts, cooking, chess, desi sports, STEM

We start our day with a half hour of yoga exercises which includes 2-3 min of guided meditation. Even though this sounds serious, kids really come to enjoy it by the end of the week.

In dance, a Bollywood dance is choreographed and performed by the kids on Friday.

In music, the campers learn a fun Hindi song each week which is performed for parents on Friday evening.

In cooking, a vegetarian kid-friendly yet healthy item is cooked by the kids themselves supervised by a parent volunteer.

Desi sports is where kids learn/play games like kabaddi, kho-kho, cricket, badminton, dodge ball etc.

Parents showcase: Friday at 4pm where kids perform the dance/song they learn during the week.

Teen Volunteers: Rising freshman and older teens are invited to sign up to volunteer. The camp director and counselors assign them tasks to complete. They are a big help to us and have fun being around kids. Click here to fill teen volunteer application. Volunteer hour certificate is awarded to teens.

Allergy Concerns: Sanskriti camp is a nut free camp. If you have specific allergy concern, make sure to state in the medical form. You can also email us.

Lunch/Snacks: Please send a healthy morning snack. Cooking session is scheduled around 2:45 pm which takes care of the campers afternoon snack. Lunch can be bought from Simply Gourmet for $5/day or you can send lunch with your child. Every Friday is Pizza lunch day!!! Do not send lunch on Fridays unless your child does not eat pizza.

Lunch Delivery: We have partnered with Simply Gourmet for those who prefer to order lunch for their camper. A nutritious, freshly prepared meal is delivered each day. Click here for more information. Make payment and lunch selection at www.simplygourmetlunches.com 

We want to give individual attention to our campers, therefore we accept limited number of kids each year. Campers are divided into 2 age appropriate groups for most of the activities. The camp is managed by a professional camp director with several years experience along with one or more assistants. A parent or a Sanskriti volunteer is also present most of the day.

Camper Fees:

Early bird registration:    Available ONLY for first 20 full day campers! HURRY!!!

                                           Full Day: $250 per child per week

Register by July 5th :        Full Day: $300 per child per week

                                           Half Day: $200 per child per week          

Register after July 5th :    Full Day: $350 per child per week

                                           Half Day: $250 per child per week

10% sibling discount.

Refund/ cancellation policy:

100% money back if the registration is cancelled before June 30th

50% back after that until August 1st.

After August 1st, 25% refunded. 

No refunds once camp starts.

Families can keep their child's spot for the following year as an alternative to cancellation. 

NOTE: There will be no partial refund/credit issued if your child/children cannot attend the camp for all 5 days. Please refrain from requesting a partial refund. We appreciate your understanding.
