2024 Sammaan Awards

Sammaan in Hindi means respect and recognition. This award is an annual recognition to honor children, teens and, at times, adults from our community (of Indian heritage) whose extraordinary achievements or service within the community merit special recognition.

Sanskriti of NJ has created an independent panel, made up of individuals from our Advisory Committee to go through the nominations. The panel identifies the most deserving candidate(s) who will be recognized during IndiaFest event on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.

We invite you to nominate your own child or a friend, neighbor or a family member's child with exceptional achievements in any extra-curricular area. These accomplishments can be related to athletics (minimum State level or above), arts (visual, performing or any other kind of art), community service (has to be unique. Please note that Presidential Award by itself will not qualify) or similar area.

We look forward to receiving nominations on behalf of deserving candidates. The nominee must be at least 13 year old and as old as a 2024 high school graduate from Livingston or surrounding area that Sanskriti of NJ serves.

The deadline to submit your nomination is July 7, 2024.
