We invite the entire community of Livingston and surrounding towns to experience "Yoga for Health" for our very first International Yoga Day to be held on June 21st, 2021 (rain date June 23rd).
This is a free event open to the public and the yoga community. It is for the curious and for the serious! Come learn what yoga is all about! Explore different types of yoga practices! Meet local yoga experts and teachers. All you need is a beach towel (or yoga mat) to join the free workshops.
Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years in India. There are many different practices and lineage in yoga and it can be customized to suit one’s body type and mental state. Research shows that Yoga and Meditation play a very important role in our physical and mental well being. Now more than ever we need these practices to help us cope with the devastation caused by the COVID pandemic, heal the suffering, and bring some calm and peace in our communities.

We look forward to welcoming you between 5pm-8pm on June 21st at the Livingston oval gazebo. Rain date is June 23rd. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your own yoga mat (Or beach towel). We will have few extra yoga mats but beach towel will do if you don't have a yoga mat.
General Schedule: We will have several concurrent workshops. Please check the FB page for final schedule of teachers and classes 1 week before the event. Each class (workshop) will be for up to 30 minutes. You can attend multiple workshops, talk to teachers and watch other sessions in progress.
5pm: Kids yoga, Teens yoga, Family yoga, and Accessible yoga for all abilities.
5:30pm: Kids yoga, Teens yoga, Family yoga and Accessible yoga for all abilities.
6pm: Gentle yoga, Seniors yoga, Chair yoga, Beginners yoga, Laugh yoga and others.
6:30pm: COMMUNITY BREATH WORK for everyone at the Gazebo (no prep required, performed while standing in place), Address by the experts and leaders.
7pm: Variety of Yoga types including Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga, Bikram yoga, Kundalini yoga etc.
